Ontario, Oregon: Pop. 10,000
Morales grew up in Ontario, Oregon — a town of around 10,000 people — as one of approximately 13 siblings (including step-siblings). He was a high school wrestler who took first at the state tournament as a senior. He started MMA training in his mid-20s because he missed the competition aspect of wrestling. Before fighting professionally he worked in sales and management and briefly attended Boise State University studying sports psychology.
The UFC Run
After going 8-1 as an amateur boxer and building a regional record with wins over UFC veterans Teruro Ishihara and Hunter Azure, Morales earned his UFC debut in 2018. He won the Front Street Fights featherweight belt in a fight he describes as one of his emotionally hardest — his roommate had just died in a car accident and he had knee surgery weeks before. That's the mental toughness that defines him.
My toughest fight outside the cage was winning that championship the week after my roommate passed.

React Workouts and the Tech Side
Off the canvas, Morales launched 'React Workouts,' a virtual boxing and MMA coach app that delivers randomized combination and movement callouts during training rounds. He rents rooms in his Las Vegas home to other fighters relocating to the city — functioning as a hub for the regional-to-UFC transition. He was engaged in 2024 with a wedding planned for November.
The Exotic Choke Collector
Morales is a versatile finisher with 7 KOs and 5 submissions across diverse choke variations — Peruvian Necktie, Brabo choke, Anaconda choke, arm triangle, and rear-naked choke. He is most comfortable in a clinch-and-finish game, using his wrestling background to take the fight where he wants it. He holds a purple belt in BJJ.

Fighter, Host, Builder
He fights under his full name in the Octagon — Vince Vandetta Morales — making 'Vandetta' not a nickname but a declaration. From one of 13 siblings in a small Oregon town to a Las Vegas house that hosts the next generation of fighters, his story is one of reinvention at every turn.
